At The Sensory Meadow, we create sensory play products designed to support creativity, exploration and meaningful play. Safety is our highest priority, and we ask that all products are used responsibly and under supervision.

Please take a moment to read the following guidelines before use.

Adult Supervision Required

All sensory play must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Many items may contain small parts, which can pose a choking hazard for young children.

Recommended for ages 3+, unless closely supervised.

Taste-Safe, Not Edible

Some of our handmade products (such as playdough and certain sensory bases) are created using non-toxic, taste-safe ingredients.

However, they are not intended to be eaten.

If your child has a tendency to mouth or ingest items, please use extra care and supervise closely.

Allergies & Sensitivities

Please review the ingredient list on each product before use.
Some products may contain:

  • wheat

  • flour

  • coconut oil

  • essential oils

  • botanicals

  • natural colourants

  • food dyes

If your child has food allergies or sensitivities, please use discretion.

Stop use immediately if any irritation or reaction occurs.

Essential Oils

Some products are gently scented using essential oils.
These oils are always diluted and used in low concentrations, but please discontinue use if you notice sensitivity.

Small Parts & Loose Items

Loose parts (shells, wooden tools, beads, dried flowers, gems, etc.) may pose choking risks.

These items are recommended for age 3+.

Playdough Care

To keep your playdough soft and fresh:

  • store in its airtight container

  • keep out of direct sunlight

  • if drying occurs, knead in a small amount of warm water or natural oil

Discard if mould, smell changes, or excessive crumbly texture appears.

Water Play & Fizz Safety

Fizz products may contain citric acid and baking soda.
These are safe for hands but should be kept away from eyes and mouths.

Do not use in the bath unless specified, as high concentrations of citric acid may irritate skin.

Supervise during water-based play to avoid slipping hazards.

Storage

Keep all products:

  • stored in their containers

  • away from pets

  • out of reach from unsupervised children

  • in a cool, dry place

Natural Variations

Many items are handmade in small batches.
Slight variations in colour, scent, texture or decoration are completely normal and not a safety concern.
